Ever since I was a kid I was always drawing.
I would "escape" for hours with the pencil
not realizing how much time had passed.
It gave me the ability to focus and see
things most people would normally pass
over. Even though I go long stretches inbetween
without picking up the pencil or brush, when I do, it
comes back quickly. There is something about translating what
you see with pencil to paper that computer graphics just can't
touch.
| "Christina" - I've always enjoyed drawing in charcoal because you get truer blacks and whites, more contrast. This "portrait" was a photo on the front of a video catalog and I wanted to capture it in my own style. Click on the image to see a larger version. |
| I also enjoy working in watercolors. Some of these are from a workshop I took where we produced 6 paintings in 3 days. Amazing. Click on the images to see larger versions. |
